😠 colorhost.co refuses to refund!
I recently purchased a SHOUTcast & IceCast streaming server reseller from www.colorhost.co. I was not happy with the 3 hours and 30 minute wait for support to come and assist me. I asked for a full refund. They refused. I opened up a PayPal claim. They got in touch with me saying, "if you close the PayPal claim, we will give you a full refund straight away". I closed the PayPal claim expecting to get a full refund straight away. Sadly not, I have been waiting 3 days, nearly 4 days for a full refund. 1 star out of 5!

We do not have a 3 hour a 30 minute wait time as you claim. Did you contact us correctly via support ticket? We have a total of 1 hour response time. And would have been glad to assist you promptly.

We do not refuse refunds if there within the 5 day refund period of purchasing your product. We see that you were covered, and was glad to help you.

The claim was closed, asking for you to wait for us to be open from Monday - Friday 9AM to 8PM to refund you properly as we do not process these over the weekend. This was done, and were sorry for the inconvenience caused. And we would be glad to assist you if you choose us in the future.

😁 ColorHost.co is the best SA:MP Hosting around.
ColorHost offers awesome cheap SA:MP servers,their control panel is fast and really well working. The support of the host is brilliant,they have skype,msn,support tickets where they are replying even faster than 5 hours. You should get SA:MP Servers, I've bought two,and I'm happy with it. It has alot better control panel than volt hosts and its also really fast to upload files like on filezilla. You can pay with OneBip to order SA:MP Servers. Also there is discount code which lows your prices to 55%. 100 slots just 7.95$/monthly,and with discount code,3.3$/monthly.

I've had to recently switch hosting providers due to some not so pleasant people out there. The first two weren't that knowledgeable and were unable to stop attacks on our servers. However, Colorhost followed us via twitter, and offered some wonderful solutions to our problems, and we were back up and running in no time!

Great hosting provider, really quick set up and support. Most tickets replied to within 4- 5 minutes.

Extremely cheap for the specs of the server we receive. $5.94 for a 100 slot server, no lag, ping less than 40 my end.

Will defiantly use them for other services.

😃 The VPS plan is pretty good. I like the specifications for the very low price. Overall, everything included is amazing, and runs swell. At times the support takes a while to fix issues, but they do eventually fix all issues you are having.

😞 Colorhost means well, but...
They don't seem to understand the importance of providing a reliable IP address for a SA:MP server.

Players that like the server will add the IP to their favorites list so that they can easily find it again. Therefore, when they suddenly change their customers server IP without any warning or reason to do so (that's what happened to me), all the previous months of gathering players and paying for a listing on the hosted tab were a complete waste.

Understand this: when you change a server IP, that server becomes DEAD.

Our IP addresses are reliable, as you may have known from our emails we faced a DDOS attack on a node previously, and it required a IP change.

We always notify our customers of changes, so do stand on the lookout in your email and our social networks for updates.

Colorhost.... One of the worst hosts ever as mentioned before you could never have over 5 people because the sever would just crash support was really really bad and i have heard recently they have been experiencing a lot of downtime! I have had lots of problems.... Never choose this host!

The service is great! Packages are instantly activated after purchasing them. Great prices, very cheap! I have 3 domains hosted with ColorHost, Shoutcast & a SAMP server. All run perfectly and are great!
One problem I do not like is the Support. If the main administrator is not online to provide support, other staff have tended to ignore my calls for support. Overall, a great service.

😠 I brought an account with ColorHost,

They rejected my phone calls, as well as a my emails.

They also refused to enable SSH on my account, saying how it apparently was a security risk, I actually had to explain to them how UNIX permissions worked before they actually were like "Ok we're change your then for it"

They took so long to respond, that I couldn't even get a refund, as when I filed a refund request within the 7 days, it took them days to reply so they refused to give a refund, despite it being asked way before the 7 days was over.

Their replies to other reviews here are lies, I've talked to a few of the people, and their outraged with how ColorHost has made them afraid of the hosting industry, especially when a "company" like this is ran by a 14 year old kid in his bedroom.

They have shitty servers, with 2 or so cores each on cheap OpenVZ VPSs, they no way are in expensive datacenters and use expensive servers.

ColorHost started off well, however my account was suspended and no reason given, I've only just been told the reason why 6 months later. Customer support is terrible, they even stole my files and domain before directing it to a rival company website.

I do not recommend ColorHost and would try to stay away from it.

😠 Steal Customers Code
I hosted a piece of software at ColorHost (basic PHP script)

It was terrible, their servers could not allow any more then 5 people on your site at a time, otherwise they would just crash.

I quit them, then found out they had stolen one of my pieces of work and were using it for their own commercial reasons, after their servers got threatened offline by their hosts (they use VPSs btw, really cheap ones), it got removed.

And worse of all, they still believe they have done nothing wrong. So they obviously have no idea how copyright law works, despite being the best professional host out there.

Go somewhere else and don't use Colorhost. The owner is a 15 year old kid who pretends to be 10 other people (Carlos, Jason etc), to make him look big. However he isn't even a registered company, who has offices as he claims.

Also, who uses a .co? Its just stupid, also they can't spell Colour right.

I've had other services hosted by ColorHost before, but we lately bought a VPS from them and it was definitely a good value for a small price.

Had a few kinks to work with the server at first, but support was good enough to help us out. I wish support was more available at times, but with the many ways to contact them it might be asking for too much.

Now that everything's up and running, server's definitely fast and there's nothing to really complain about. Downtimes are rare, but usually fairly short and you get a fair warning if anything's planned.

😠 Update - Hotlinking allowed
You stated-->We here at ColorHost Have tons of staff working non-stop to fix you issue, The Nginx Software we have recently upgraded to on are server "does not support hot linking", but we have recently found a "work around to this that allows it to be on". (That's hilarious!)

So Hot linking can not be enabled by your panel, and must be enabled by asking us. (Can you really be this dumb?) By your replies the answer would be "Yes".

Duh, are you guys retarded? Who in their right mind would want their hosting company to allow hotlinking? Furthermore as i've stated before allowing "hotlinking" enables others to STEAL your hosting companies BANDWIDTH. If you think that should be allowed that would make you delusional to say the least.(LOL)

We have went back to apache when we noticed nginx was causing this issue, so now they have total control over this.

😁 I have recently begun using colorhost for my minecraft needs and can happily say that the customer service provided by this company is second to none, extremely personal and they are more than willing to go the extra mile no matter what package you are hosted on. This is generally one of the biggest issues I've found with other hosts in the past and was happy to see that at least one company was addressing this.

The servers themselves are _extremely_ competitively priced, you get more bang for your buck than anywhere else and even their servers hosted in the UK are far cheaper than any other provider! I have had 0 downtime and excellent network performance.

I would like to give my personal thanks for Kevin, who has held my hand throughout the entire migration and has been in touch with me regularly to ensure I am happy with the service.

The only issues I can see with colorhost is the lack of a power panel and in this particular network only the choice of centos as my [read more...]

😠 I do not recommend hosting with ColorHost. It's a horrible host. My reasons are listed below.

1. ColorHost uses cheap reseller servers.
2. The owner, Kevin, is extremely immature. He's 15, too.
3. The owner, Kevin, has taken credit for a template designed for ColorHost's website. The original designer was Sam Marks, and in the footer it said "Template design by Samuel Marks", which he removed and replaced with his own name. He just recently gave Sam credit again, because he "lost".
4. Personal issues are brought into the hosting. This is why you hear the people that have no problem with Kevin saying that ColorHost is good. But, if you have an argument with him, you risk getting your account terminated.
5. ColorHost goes down often.
6. Look at the negative reviews, he deems them as "fake" because they're negative.
7. The owner can't use proper grammar.
8. The owner claimed to shut down two times for sympathy.

And there's more reasons, too.

😠 Colorhost claims to be a reputable hosting company. This is far from the truth.

First off, where to begin.

The "owner" or self-proclaimed "CEO" of Colorhost is actually a kid. Yes, a kid. Call his customer support line, and if he answers, you will clearly be able to tell.

Second, he uses cheap servers. He originally was using cheap VPS' and claiming he owned his own servers.

His servers security is considerably poor, and performance is lacking in many various areas.

But besides all this, he drags personal issues into his "company." One of his clients designed him a template, in return for a copyright link in the footer of the site. When the client got sick of problems with the host and decided to leave, the owner removed the copyright and claimed he was the creator of the template. This is a lie. He illegally stole the template and violated the agreement.

His servers have undergone multiple issues due to his severe lack of experience, maturity, and security [read more...]

We also provide refunds, as long as the reason is valid.

😁 I value ColorHost quite well! I wanted to start up my own hosting business, and their Support has been a major help. Even when I don't understand things quite well, they always are happy to help! They have quite fast servers, and everything is speedy!

I don't see my self moving from ColorHost ever! For Downtime, I don't really ever see it, unless something major happens, and like I said above Support is always happy to help with a problem. =)

😁 I have been with colorhost through a lot in the past year. I have moved some of my sites off there host a few times, but each time I return because they offer some great high powered hosting. I know many people say that colorhost sucks, but they have not had a problem and then asked the support and gotten it fixed right away. The person running the host is very professional in handling clients, and always put me first no matter what happened.

I would tell anyone to use them!

There phone support is also very friendly to me apon issues.

😠 Despite my earlier review on this host, this is one of the worst hosting experiences I have ever had.

I switched from this host to another host, with a dedicated server, because I felt better being hosted on a dedicated server instead of some cheap VPS (It's true, the VPS he has is around $20 a month). When I switched, he trolled me on a site that I use, and when I requested the template back that I created for him, he removed my name from the footer, and replaced it with his own (I actually designed the current template, but he changed the name).

He would constantly argue with me, and threaten to delete my hosting account, forcing me to take several backups all the time. The behavior is just extremely immature.

Do NOT use this host. You will regret the decision. It's run by a couple of 13-year olds who are looking for some money. I wouldn't trust them to your files.

The color host is administrated by some school kids. Not a professional host.

😁 In my time spent with this host, I have had excellent support and service. There have been no downtimes, except at the beginning when they were experiencing some server issues. But throughout that whole time, they kept me updated with their Twitter, Cloudica, and Messaging accounts.

The server is fast, and the cost was excellent.

The only reason I put an 8 for features was because they don't have shell access, but then again, most hosts don't.

I went from colorhost to Servelayer.com and Servelayer.com is more organized !

Try Servelayer and they would'nt let you down. They even got Texting for faster support for urgent issues.

😠 ColorHost is horrible! Joined with them on a Linux VPS plan to run a private gaming server. The day after the server was setup one of the owners (Kevin AKA tagagame) tried hacking his way into it! After IP banning him and experiencing horrible stability issues, I decided to cancel LESS THAN 5 full business days from signing up. Kevin then sent me an email saying that I was past the 7-day (later changed in a follow up email to 5 days) refund period. Wasn't until I publicly bashed them in front of a live audience that they finally gave a partial refund.

Plans, specs and terms aren't even listed on their site. Horrible service, horrible staff, STAY AWAY FROM COLORHOST! They are a shoddy fly-by-night operation just waiting to take your money and run.

🗨 We here at ColorHost Provide Budget VPS, The Node you were on was experincing issues and we were going to move you onto a other server, but then you requested a refund so we gave you that refund.

Are TOS is listed on are site, It is the bottom of the page near the Copyright infomation and at the bottom of Live help button.

The reason this is not listed on are site, is because these VPS plans are only in test production, They will be on the site soon.

😞 Worst hosting I've ever experienced! I was told they were reliable and had excellent up-time which they did for a few days. My account was suspended for no reason whatsoever, I abided by all TOS's and was suspended! The customer support was the worst of all, there was no way to contact them except for a rival site chat. I expect that my account was suspended from a bribe by the rival entertainment site!

🗨 We do have a good uptime, your site was Suspended due to you abused a other client of ours which is are TOS clearly states you cannot. And we have had contact ways posted on are Website for the longest time. We have email, MSN, Phone, IRC, Twitter And lots more other ways to contact

😠 This is how deluded the staff is at Colorhost. Kevin and his staff couldn't fix the hotlinking error that's why I moved the site to another hosting company. I don't have a hotlinking issue with the new hosting company because they know how to configure a server.

Hotlinking for people who know what they are talking about code is inserted into .htaccess file to prevent hotlinking from any website.
This same .htaccess file was used on other hosting companies and it worked and I didn't have to ask to have it enabled and never did with any other hosting company.

You are just full of Bologna! Nobody ever said hotlinking couldn't be turned on on "our" servers. By the post you made below makes you look even dumber than you sound! Btw hotlinking option is on Cpanel and nobody has to ask the webhosting company to turn it on. Maybe on your camel jockey servers but not at a real hosting company!

Hotlink isnt supported in it, and we hope it is supported in the near future but for now you must ask us to enable/disable for you.

😉 This free hosting company allows other websites to hotlink to images on my website. When I emailed Kevin he said "hotlinking" ok. I couldn't believe he's allowing hotlinking and doesn't the mind people stealing Color Hosts bandwidth.

I had an .htaccess file that worked on other servers but didn't work on Color Host servers because the servers are configured incorrectly. I also blocked certain referrers using an .htaccess file and again it didn't work on Color Host servers.

When I first contacted Kevin he stated "I know what I'm doing" and the servers are setup correctly. This was his reply everytime I contacted him. He doesn't have much to say because he's too intelligent and a Ceo.

On the subject of hotlinking I setup a test page on my other website to prove anyone can hotlink to my website hosted by Color Host. That's when he emailed back and said "hotlinking ok". Most webhosting companies don't like anybody stealing bandwidth but at Colorhost it's ok.

😁 Well, what can I say. Colorhost is a superb hosting service. Their support is excellent and it's always on. Even at 2:10 in the morning, when I was working it was still on. They have excellent uptime, and I can't remember a time when my website was down. Either I didn't notice it, or they are extremely good at having a good uptime. They have excellent packages for hosting, and the best part is that they have NO RESTRICTIONS. I have a special package catered just for me, and I can upgrade anytime I want, and the upgrade is usually instant.
Overall its one of the best hosting providers I've had, and like Lance I plan to sticking with them for a long long time!
