CUBANIC is responsible for administering the top level domain ".cu" corresponding to Cuba. It provides its services through CENIAInternet, the network belonging to the Information Technology and Advanced Telematic Services Company, CITMATEL, of the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment.

CUBANIC provides the second level domain name registration service on the Internet under .cu and keeps the corresponding database updated and visible. It is also in charge of registering third level domain names under the generic second level subdomains under .cu: .com, .edu, .org, .net, .gov and .inf.
