In the mid-90s we started offering web hosting tariffs for German companies. At the time, reseller-enabled hosting was only available in the US.

At that time we started directly with virtual servers on BSD Unix and offered web hosting for companies in Germany at really favorable conditions. At that time, a .de domain cost a few hundred DM per year.

Fortunately, those times are over. Today we have optimized rack servers from Dell in use that are very easy to maintain during operation and offer ideal conditions for a virtual infrastructure. The performance of 10 servers that were still popular 5 years ago can now handle 1 server and that with a lower power consumption than an older server.

Mitte der 90er Jahre haben wir begonnen Webhosting Tarife für deutsche Unternehmen anzubieten. Zu dieser Zeit gab es resellerfähiges Hosting nur in den USA.

Damals haben wir direkt mit virtuellen Servern auf BSD Unix begonnen und zu wirklich günstigen Konditionen Webhosting für Firmen in Deutschland angeboten. Zu der Zeit kostete eine .de Domain noch einige hundert DM pro Jahr.

Diese Zeiten sind zum Glück vorbei. Heute haben wir optimierte Rackserver von Dell im Einsatz die sich sehr einfach im laufenden Betrieb warten lassen und ideale Voraussetzungen für eine virtuelle Infrastruktur bieten. Die Leistung von 10 Servern die vor 5 Jahren noch angesagt waren kann heute 1 Server bewältigen und das bei einem geringeren Stromverbrauch als ein älterer Server.
